Ashburn, Va. (June 17, 2015) – Whole Foods Market Ashburn, set to open July 29, announced plans today to operate a pub inside the 40,000-square-foot store.
The pub will serve Loudoun-made wine, beer and spirits. Purcellville-based Catoctin Creek Distillery will supply the spirits, and Whole Foods is working on partnerships with other local suppliers.
Whole Foods will open in the new Belmont Chase shopping center, located on Russell Branch Parkway on the south side of Rt. 7 near Belmont Country Club. Other tenants include Coopers Hawk, Petco’s Unleashed, Peet’s Coffee and Chipotle.
It will be the first Whole Foods store in Loudoun County. Since its founding in 1980, the grocery chain has transformed the organic foods industry by demonstrating strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, community reinvestment and environmental stewardship. There are more than 360 Whole Food stores in the U.S. and United Kingdom.
