Ashburn, Va. (September 24, 2014) – West meets South in VivaLoudoun’s Top Ticket for Week 5, which pits an established playoff program from Purcellville going against a team in South Riding trying to gain its bearings.
After winning two of their opening three games under new head coach Anthony Long, the Vikings of Loudoun Valley High School (2-1) make the trek down Rt. 7 to Rt. 28 (or maybe they’ll take Rt. 15 to Rt. 50 — either way, it’s a long bus ride) to face off with the Eagles of Freedom High School (1-3), a team fresh off its first win of the year under second-season head coach Jared Van Acker.
The Vikings and their big ol’ defensive front represent the Dulles District and Region 3A East. They’ll do trench battle against the big ol’ hosses on the offensive line for Freedom, out of the Potomac District and Region 5A North.
Both sides have already shown that they can win a close game. Those skills might have to come in handy as VivaLoudoun brings this one to you as our Top Ticket Of The Week.
