Here we go!
Ten Loudoun teams kick off the playoffs this weekend. Tuscarora, Stone Bridge, Broad Run, Briar Woods and Potomac Falls in the 5A North region; Woodgrove, Dominion, Loudoun County in 4A North; Loudoun Valley and John Champe in 3A East.
That’s 10 Loudoun high schools out of the 13 who play varsity football — two handfuls of our hometown teams punching their tickets to the year-end dance.
As part of VivaLoudoun’s weekly Top Ticket series, we strive to cover as many of our local gridiron teams as often as possible. This week, we’ll bring you the Bulldogs of Stone Bridge High School (8-2, 3rd place in 5A North) — a team we’ve seen just once this year — as they begin their quest to return to the top with a playoff opener against Freedom of Woodbridge.
Can the Bulldogs get back to their customary spot among the state’s elite? Find out if they got their bite back as we present Stone Bridge’s first challenge in the 2014 postseason, as VivaLoudoun’s Top Ticket Of The Week.
It’s playoff time. It’s time for games to count the most, for teams to have a November to remember. Here we go!
