Leesburg, Va. (November 13, 2014) The varsity girl’s volleyball team from Leesburg Christian School recently held their annual Dig Pink rally for breast cancer research.
On Friday, November 7, the student body gathered together to show their support. The event was kicked off by an elementary clinic hosted by Coach Christa Schlichting and the varsity Lady Lions.
Following the clinic, the varsity volleyball team challenged the Lady Lions’ alumni to a volleyball game. Following the alumni match, the varsity volleyball team challenged the Lions’ soccer team to a volleyball game.
There were door prizes, games, face painting, and food also available to all that attended. Together the team raised $1,000 to be donated to the Side-Out Foundation.
The Lady Lions also donated funds to a few LCS parents that have survived breast cancer.
