Loudoun County, VA (Oct. 30, 2015) – Two of Loudoun County’s most prolific high school ‘Hit-women’ both reached an impressive volleyball milestone this past regular season.
Loudoun County Raider Taylor Borup and Briar Woods Falcon Lauren Twitty both reached 1,000 career volleyball kills during the month of October.
The North Carolina bound Borup reached the milestone on October 20th during her team’s victory against Woodgrove. New Mexico bound Twitty reached the milestone nine days later on October 29th during her team’s win against Potomac Falls.
Both outside hitters begin their playoff run in November as Borup’s Raiders and Twitty’s Falcons set to defend their VHSL 4A and 5A Volleyball State Championship titles.
Please join us in congratulating these fine student athletes on such an accomplishment. We wish you much success in closing out your high school careers and will be following your growth at the collegiate level.
