Loudoun County, Va. (June 22, 2015) – Three Ashburn teenagers have been charged in connection with the June 9, 2015, robbery of a delivery person in the Brambleton area of Ashburn.
Two 17-year-old males and a 16-year-old male have been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The teenagers were identified through the course of the investigation. Two were apprehended on June 12 with the third suspect apprehended on June 13.
The victim was attempting to deliver food to a home in the 23600 block of Sailfish Square shortly after 8:30PM when he observed a male standing outside of a townhome and two other males near the side of the townhome. One of the males ordered him to drop the food and demanded money. The subject then showed a firearm that was in his waistband and again demanded money.
The subjects grabbed the food and fled the area. A perimeter was established and the area was searched with the assistance of a K9 unit. The food and a replica pellet gun were located discarded in the area.
The names of the three suspects cannot be released due to the fact they are juveniles. All three suspects remain held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
