(Oct. 222, 2013) – Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office identified and apprehended a third suspect in connection with an October 14th home invasion style armed robbery at an apartment in Purcellville, VA.
Jordon L. Harwell, 29, of Sterling, is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was located at a residence on Argus Place late Monday night. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office previously announced the arrest of John C. Barwis, 23, of Ashburn, on charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Harwell and Barwis are both being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek the whereabouts of David C. Russell, Jr., 21, of Leesburg, who is wanted in connection with the robbery. Russell is possibly driving a white Dodge Charger and is known to frequent the Leesburg and Sterling areas. Detectives are also working to identify a possible fourth suspect in the case.
The home invasion style robbery occurred on October 14th at an apartment in the 100 block of N. 21st Street inside the Town of Purcellville. Around 11:30PM members of the Town of Purcellville Police Department and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the apartment where the suspects reportedly entered the apartment and brandished firearms. One of the occupants of the apartment was assaulted during the robbery and received minor injuries. He was taken to the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital where he was treated and released. Cash was reportedly taken before the suspects fled. The weapons used during the robbery have been recovered.
