Ashburn, Va. (November 14, 2014) – The Stone Bridge Bulldogs clipped the Freedom Eagles wings and soared to victory with score of 41-22 to pick up their 9th win of the 2014 season to a record of 9-2.
The Bulldogs were first to put points on the scoreboard with a 60 yard run by Chance Frye (Vishal Goshain’s PAT good). Collin Buckley gained nice yardage in the first quarter punching in a 9 yard run the Bulldogs second touchdown (TD) in the first quarter. Brett Smedley capped the first quarter scoring with a 52 yard TD pass from his QB, Joe Thompson (Goshain PAT failed). The second quarter, Tanner Karafa bursted into the end zone from 4 yards out for the Bulldogs 4th TD of the game (Goshain PAT good). Collin Buckley wasn’t happy with only one TD, he wanted to put more points on the board for his teammates, with solid determination he busted across the goal line from the 3 yard line for his second TD and Tanner Karafa executed the 2 point conversion flawlessly. Late in the 2nd quarter, Q. Wallace scored from 3 yards out on a pass from John White (Diaz PAT good). The Bulldogs were pretty solid the first half and the Eagles had to go back to the whiteboard. The Eagles started off the 3rd Quarter with renewed enthusiasm and J. Williams scored on a 45 yard pass from John White (Diaz PAT good). On the Bulldogs first possession, the Eagles teamed up to tackle the Bulldog running back in the end zone for a safety. The Eagles could not capitalize on the ensuing possession and turned over the ball to the Bulldogs, Collin Buckley, and he marched down the field and crossed the goal line from six yards out for his third and final TD of the game. The 4th Quarter was rather tame with the only score by the Eagles, J. White, a 6 yard TD run (Diaz PAT good).
The top Bulldog rushers of the game were Collin Buckley with 25 carries for 203 yards, and 3 touchdowns, and Chance Frye with 12 carries for 123 yards, and 1 TD, and followed by Tanner Karafa with 8 carries for 53 yards and 1 touchdown. The top Eagle rusher was John White with 16 carries for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The air attack was led by Stone Bridge quarterback, Joe Thompson, with 13 attempts , 9 completions for 110 yards, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown. The leading Eagle quarterback, John White, had 13 attempts and 7 completions for 90 yards and 1 TD.

The Bulldogs had a total offense of 535 yards while the Rebels only had 171 yards total. The Bulldogs won the game on the ground through their explosive rushing!
The Stone Bridge defense held Fairfax scoreless until late in the second quarter, and allowed a 3 yard pass that led to a TD by Q. Wallace. The Bulldog defense was solid with 48 first hits, 21 assists, 9 tackles for loss yardage, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass knocked down. Wow! The Bulldog Defense continue to protect “their house” game after game! The Bulldog Defense was in beast mode with Tanner Karafa with 8 first hits, Nick McIntyre with 7 and Cole Carter with 6 respectively. Cole led the Bulldogs in tackles for a loss with 3 and Jimmy Prohaska and Tanner Karafa each had a blocked kick.
The Bulldogs now face the North Stafford Wolverines this coming Friday, November 21, 2014 at 7:00PM at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA. Get there early, seats will fill up quickly!
