Newswire Report – SEC Country (July 1, 2016) – The SEC has produced some of the top defensive linemen over the past decade, whether that be Glenn Dorsey, Sheldon Richardson or A’Shawn Robinson. Three players made Lance Zierlein’s, of NFL.com, list of top interior defensive linemen to watch for the upcoming season. Topping the poll at No. 1, is Alabama’s Jonathan Allen.
Two of Allen’s teammates, Robinson and Jarran Allen, were both picked in the second round of last year’s NFL Draft. Despite the other talent around him, Jonathan Allen still found a way to standout, as he led the Crimson Tide with 12.0 sacks last season.
Allen will remain poised and focused in leading the Alabama D-Line in his senior year.
