(Sept. 5, 2013) – Viva Loudoun will debut today a new columnist, Sean Farrell, who will cover high school football this fall with his “Farrell on Football”. Farrell’s weekly column will be co-sponsored by TrueAP, which provides performance training for athletes of all ages, including team training, personal/small group, adult training and nutrition consultation.
You might have read Farrell in other local publications as he has covered high school sports in Loudoun for several years. Here is more about the featured columnist, in his own words:
As one of the few true Northern Virginia natives, I was born and raised in Dale City, and fell in love with football during the Washington Redskins glory days in the 1980s. I played high school football for the Hylton Bulldogs, and played as a 5’8″ walk-on reserve linebacker at the College of William and Mary, where I spent several years busting wedges on special teams, and likely shortened my lifespan as a result.
As an adult, I continue to enjoy shortening my lifespan by enjoy football passively, often accompanied with unhealthy food and adult beverages. I remain an ardent fan of the Redskins, Penn State, and the Hylton Bulldogs, and love the awesome high school football scene in Loudoun County.
I spent some time writing for another local website before seeing the light and joining the “Fox” and Viva Loudoun.
If you would like your local Loudoun business to co-sponsor “Farrell on Football”, please give Viva Loudoun editor Dan Sousa a shout!
