Loudoun County, Va. (February 5, 2015) – The 34th annual Loudoun County Regional Science and Engineering Fair (RSEF) will be held Thursday, March 19, at Freedom High School.
This annual event involves more than 220 Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) high school students.
Once again, the RSEF is seeking support from the community for judges and award sponsors. If you are willing to judge or donate an award, please register using our online registration system, available at the RSEF website listed below.
Judges are needed in every category. Many judges have advanced degrees or professional experience in the categories they judge. Judges from businesses and the community, as well as retirees and volunteers who have scientific expertise, are welcome.
All kinds of awards and recognitions are welcome. Students receive first-, second- and third-place monetary awards in each of 17 categories. Many special awards are given by community sponsors.
For online registration and more information about participating in the 2015 Loudoun Regional Science & Engineering Fair, please visit http://www.lcps.org/rsef.
The purpose of the LCPS RSEF is to stimulate student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); to encourage students to engage in research in STEM fields; to provide students opportunities to present their research to STEM professionals and the community, and to give public recognition to students for their work.
Questions about the RSEF should be directed to the LCPS Science office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 571-252-1360.
