Ashburn, Va. (October 16, 2014) – The Washington Redskins will welcome more than 100 Redskins greats into town for the team’s annual alumni homecoming game – coined as the College Savings Classic presented by Virginia529 – on Sunday, October 19, against the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
As announced in August at the team’s annual Welcome Home Luncheon, the Redskins will induct Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien as the 46th member of its Ring of Fame. Rypien will be formally honored with induction at halftime of the homecoming game.
Other alumni expected to attend include Darrell Green, Bobby Mitchell, Ken Houston, Sonny Jurgensen, Charley Taylor Ron Saul, Rick “Doc” Walker, Dexter Manley, Darryl Grant, Mike Bragg, Larry Brown, Pat Fischer, and George Starke, among others.
