Leesburg, VA (October 14, 2016) – It’s finally starting to feel like cool football weather is coming, but the night was still plenty warm for the Tuscarora Huskies as they hosted the Edison Eagles. Coming off a huge win over Potomac Falls, and looking forward to a big game against Stone Bridge, it would have been easy for the home team to overlook their lightly regarded opponent.
Chas Sumser, Viva Loudoun photographer, was there to capture the action and emotion and posted a gallery of images from the game.
Well, the Huskies could have overlooked Edison, but, well, they sure didn’t. By the end of the first quarter, Tuscarora had scored four touchdowns and led 27-0. They would add two more scores to make their halftime lead 41-0. After that, playing time was available to just about everyone on both benches.
The Eagles scored a morale-building touchdown in the second half, but never really threatened to get back in the game. Final score: Tuscarora 41 – Edison 6.
