Purcellville, VA (Feb 23, 2016) – What’s tougher than a long bus ride to play in a regional playoff game? A long bus ride home after a pretty thorough trouncing. That’s the prospect the George Washington Eagles faced as they arrived at Loudoun Valley over four hours after leaving Danville, VA.

It was never even close. The Eagles scored just two first quarter points, but didn’t actually make a basket until the second period began due to Loudoun Valley’s suffocating defense. As each quarter ticked off, the Vikings lead never slipped below ten and their efficient play on both ends of the court made this one an easy victory. Even with Mar Keane and other Vikings in foul trouble, the Eagles were simply no match for the high-flying team from Purcellville.
Final score: Loudoun Valley 56 – GW-Danville 40.
