Tuscarora (156) def. Loudoun County (156) in second playoff hole @ Raspberry Falls
The Skinny from LC: LCHS faired very well against cross town rival Tuscarora at Raspberry Falls. Although the match is not a district match anymore both teams take a lot of pride in a victory in this matchup. Tuscarora has been hot lately and the Raiders knew they would have to put on a strong performance to pull off a win. Paul Odenwaldt led the team with an even par round of 36 that included an eagle on No. 4 as well as another birdie. Senior Ryan Brown posted a 39 while Zach Bolyard shot 40 and Jake Cunningham shot 41. It wasn’t quite enough for a win in regulation. The teams agreed to choose 1 player from each side to go on to a playoff. Chad Stocks of Tuscarora was matched up with Paul Odenwaldt from LCHS. Paul’s birdie putt on the first playoff hole just brushed by the edge and Stocks was able to get up and down to tie the hole. Chad Stocks was able to win the 2nd playoff hole with a par and win it for THS. Odenwaldt put on an impressive display, being only 1 over par after 11 holes of play.
