Dulles, VA ( January 14, 2015) Loudoun County will hold a Dulles Community Outreach Project kick-off meeting on the evening of Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the Dulles South Multipurpose Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive in South Riding. Dulles residents, business owners and managers, employees, and other Loudoun County residents are encouraged to attend. The kick-off event will include an open house from 5:30-8:00 p.m. with a presentation at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the project is to conduct a dialogue with citizens of the Dulles community to identify neighborhood and community-wide priorities and to develop recommended strategies to aid in future planning and programmatic activities. The project will conclude with a report to the Board of Supervisors in the third quarter of 2015.
The Department of Planning and Zoning wants to hear from stakeholders of the Dulles community about their perceptions of living and working in the community. In addition to making a presentation on the existing and planned conditions of the Dulles community on January 22, Loudoun County staff will introduce the project’s multiple outreach methods including online surveys, web-based forums, interactive mapping, focus groups, and community work sessions. Active outreach efforts will continue through the spring of 2015, providing numerous opportunities for community members to share their desires for the development of their neighborhoods.
Anyone who requires any type of reasonable accommodation as a result of a physical, sensory, or mental disability to participate in the meeting is asked to contact the Loudoun County Planning and Zoning Department at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-777-0246. Three days’ notice is requested.
The boundaries of the Dulles community include Ryan Road to the north, Dulles Airport and the Loudoun County line to the east, Braddock Road to the south, and the transition policy area boundary to the west.
