Leesburg, Va. (October 26, 2014) – Loudoun Valley beat Heritage 35-7 in Coach Long’s first game at Heritage since leaving after the 2012 season.
Heritage just could not keep up with Valley’s Ryan Malsch and Andrew Cordani who together had 361 yards of Valley’s 486 total yards from scrimmage. In the second quarter, Loudoun Valley ran a trick play straight out of Madden, a reverse jet sweep flea flicker which concluded with Sully Warner throwing to a wide open Malsch down the middle of the field for a 47-yard touchdown.
In the third quarter, Heritage added its lone touchdown, which brought excitement to the Pride side, senior Daniel Adigun broke off a 59-yard run pushing off seven defenders to get into the end zone in his final home game of the season. Even though they won the game the Vikings will have to work on their focus heading into the final two games and the playoffs after being penalized 18 times for 142 yards.
