(Oct. 18, 2013) – On a normal weekend the roads around fast-growing Loudoun County can get jammed but the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents of multiple events over the weekend that may cause traffic delays around the county.
Motorists who travel Route 15 on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th, should anticipate possible delays due to a special event at Morven Park. Traffic is expected to be heavy in the area of Route 15 and Tutt Lane beginning at 7AM on Saturday. The event runs from 8AM to 3PM on Saturday and 9AM to 3PM on Sunday.
Deputies will also be conducting traffic for a bicycle tour traveling from Maryland on Saturday. Motorists should expect delays in the area of Lovettsville Road, Loyalty Road, Route 9 and Route 690.
An event in Aldie on Saturday may cause delays on Route 50 in the entire area of the village between 9AM and 5PM.
Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely and follow all law-enforcement direction.
