Loudoun County, Va. (July 30, 2014) – Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman presented a check to Emily Basler on Friday, July 25, 2014, as part of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) scholarship program.
Ms. Basler, a Leesburg, Va., resident, graduated from Loudoun County High School and will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall.

The scholarship program, established by the VSI’s Board of Directors, was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in law enforcement or the criminal justice field while attending a Virginia college or university.
