Leesburg, Va. (October 24, 2014) – Loudoun County is holding two public meetings in connection with the naming of the Route 606 and Route 772 Silver Line Metro stations that will be constructed in Loudoun County.
Members of the public attending the meeting will be given the opportunity to vote on their preferred names for the two stations. The meetings, which will be held in an open-house format, will also feature information about transit and commuting options in Loudoun County, including the Loudoun County Transit Commuter Bus service and the county’s Silver Line bus service.
The meetings are being held at the direction of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. The meeting schedule is:
- Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Stone Hill Middle School, 23415 Evergreen Ridge Drive, Ashburn
- Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Discovery Elementary School, 44020 Grace Bridge Drive, Ashburn
The names under consideration for the stations are:
- Route 606 Station
- Broad Run
- Dulles Gateway
- Loudoun East
- Loudoun Gateway
- Loudoun Dulles North
- Route 772
- Loudoun Gateway West
