(Dec. 5, 2013) – Loudoun County High School announced that Katie Bowers has been approved as the Raiders new girls varsity lacrosse head coach.
Bowers has been an assistant coach at Chantilly High School for the past two years. Prior to that, she was a 4-year member of the York College of Pennsylvania girls lacrosse program, serving as co-captain her Senior season.
Raider AD Ken Wright: “Coach is very anxious to meet the girls and get things rolling for the season. We will have a “Meet the coach” meeting after school at 4 p.m. in Room 156 on Friday Dec. 6.”
Bowers played lacrosse for four years at Chantilly as well as being a competitive gymnast, making States in high school in three of four years. She was also an assistant gymnastics coach at Chantilly.
She played at York from 2008 to 2011 where she was a graphic design major.
