Ashburn, VA (Nov. 5, 2015) – Recycle televisions, computers, computer monitors, printers, copiers, stereos, DVD players, cell phones, power cords, cables, Christmas lights, and many other electronic devices at the next Loudoun County Electronics Recycling Event. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to3:00 p.m. at the Ashburn North Park and Ride, 45151 Russell Branch Parkway in Ashburn.
Recycling fees will apply for any item containing a cathode ray tube (CRT), such as older model televisions and computer monitors. Fees are $10 per CRT computer monitor or CRT television with screen size 30” diagonal or smaller, and $20 per CRT computer monitor or CRT television with screen size 31” or larger. Only cash or local check will be accepted. Make check payable to “C2 Management,” which is the county’s contractor for the event. There will be no charge for all other electronics accepted at the event. Limit 15 items per vehicle. Businesses with larger quantities of electronics may contact C2 Management directly at 540-955-5740, or www.tryc2.com for information about their services.
Items that will not be accepted include printer cartridges, household batteries, hazardous wastes, light bulbs, fluorescent lights, thermostats, fire alarms, gas-powered equipment, or household appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, stoves, washers and dryers.
