(Jan. 2, 2014) – Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Quentin Street in South Riding for a report of an adult male victim who had attempted to take his own life. The male was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. During the course of the investigation, five small homemade explosive devices were located inside the residence.
The Loudoun County Bomb Squad responded to the scene and the residents of two adjacent homes were evacuated as a precaution. The devices were rendered safe and the scene was cleared around 4 a.m. The case remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Loudoun County Fire Marshall’s Office.
