Loudoun County, Va. (July 27, 2014) – A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant is now one of the fittest women in the world.
Sgt. Kim Holway was in California this week for the 2014 World CrossFit Games competition where she competed in the masters division (age 45-49). The competition included deadlifts, handstand walks, and legless rope climbs among other events. Holway competed in the finals on Thursday and took first place in the Masters Women 45-49 group and is one of 10 champions.
Holway began CrossFit five years ago and trains at CrossFit Reston in Reston, VA. She was ranked third in the world in her division in 2013. She was previously ranked 12th in the world.
Holway is a 19-year-veteran of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and worked in Patrol in the agency’s Field Division for most of her career. She now serves as a Sergeant on the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU).
