(Oct. 24, 2013) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking potential victims who used a Lovettsville, VA, based dog sitting service and may be unaware items were taken from their home.
The suspect in the case, Christina L. Garrett-Gates, 38, operates Christy’s Canine & Pet Care, LLC. In July, a resident in the 38400 block of Kalb School Lane in Lovettsville became aware that prescription medicine was taken from their home while they were out of town.
Detectives were able to identify Garrett-Gates as a suspect as the family was utilizing her pet sitting services while they were away. Garrett-Gates was charged in July with Larceny and Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic.
Detectives have recently received information that leads them to believe there are additional victims and the suspect may have used her access to their homes to take prescription drugs from their residences.
If you believe you were a victim, you are asked to contact Detective C. Staub of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-737-8757.
