Around 2:40PM November 25th, Loudoun Deputies responded to the lower level of the mall where four unknown males entered the Fink’s Jewelry Store with sledgehammers, struck the jewelry case, removed numerous high-end wristwatches and fled the scene.
The suspects, all described as Black males, fled the scene in an older model Jeep Cherokee that was located a short time later abandoned in the area of the Dulles Eastern Plaza. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Fairfax County. It is believed the suspects then left the scene in a separate vehicle.
A ground and aerial search was conducted with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department helicopter.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s Detectives are working with Federal and other local law enforcement agencies, as the group is possibly connected to other thefts in the region.
Anyone with any information regarding the possible identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective S. Schochet of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information provided to Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
