Loudoun County, Va. (September 25, 2014) – LCPS-TV of the LCPS Public Information Office recently won a Bronze Telly Award for the production of “Senior Portrait ~ Class of 2013 (episode two) – ‘I’m Definitely Starting to Get Senioritis,’ ” an online video series produced during the 2013-14 school year.
“Senior Portrait” features the senior-year journeys of five LCPS seniors in three episodes. The goal of the web series is to document moments unique to seniors in their final year as high school students.
Anthony Cusumano, LCPS-TV videographer, was the producer/director and Laura Wen, also a LCPS-TV videographer, collaborated on the video series. The 2014-15 episodes of “Senior Portrait” will feature students from Broad Run, Loudoun County and Woodgrove high schools.
The Telly Award is the highest designation of honor for the video industry’s finest film and video productions, web commercials and outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs.
This is the third Telly Award LCPS-TV has won for the production of Loudoun County Public School video projects. Other video productions included: “Turn off a Light, Turn on Education,” an energy education PSA (produced by Javier Pierrend) and a 2012 Disability Awareness Month mini-documentary (produced by Laura Wen).
This summer, LCPS-TV also won an Award of Merit in the Publications and Electronic Media category presented by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for the 2013-14 production of “Land of Firsts (episode three) – ‘I Miss My Kids’ ” and the “Senior Portrait ~ Class of 2013 (episode two) – ‘I’m Definitely Starting to Get Senioritis.’ ”
