Jacksonville, Fl. – Head Softball Coach Jennifer Steele at Jacksonville University finalized her incoming 2015 recruiting class of eight. Amongst this class is the former Broad Run standout catcher, Kamille Larrabee.
The entire 2015 Jacksonville University Dolphins Softball recruiting class consists of:
|FIRST NAME||LAST NAME||HOME TOWN||SCHOOL|
|Paige||Curtis||Jacksonville, FL||Daytona State College|
|Amelia||Gamarra||Port St. Richey, FL|
|Ciara||Jones||Bonifay, FL||Chipola College|
|Kamille||Larrabee||Ashburn, VA||Bucknell University|
|Ashley||McNally||St. Petersburg, FL|
|Heather||Robers||Jacksonville, FL||Seminole State College|
Larrabee was recruited away from Bucknell University where she saw limited time behind the plate and made 13 appearances and nine starts. At Broad Run High School, Larrabee was a standout and finished her career in 2014 with a .486 batting average. Kamille was selected on the VHSL First Team All-District and All-Region teams, as well as the Spartan MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in 2014. Larrabee played travel softball for the Vienna Stars Gold.
Steele has high hopes for Larrabee. She says, “Kamille is a very intelligent catcher. “She sees the field well and has the ability to work effectively with the different pitching personalities within a staff, which is a very difficult skill to teach. She also swings away from the left side of the plate and this fits well with our offensive philosophy.”
Ok Kamille, now it is up to you to be a Dolphin and lead the pack! The Fox is behind you all the way!
