Leesburg, Va. (September 3, 2014) – Last year the Loudoun County volleyball team organized a ‘Gold Out’ game to honor and support Mathias Giordano, a local middle-schooler with osteosarcoma. The event was incredibly successful and this year the team plans to expand the event to include other families and a fundraiser.
This year’s ‘Gold Out’ game will take place on September 17, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. followed by an important match against Heritage High School. There are several families in the area that have dealt with childhood cancer and Loudoun County has invited them to attend this event. The event will honor the memories of Gabriella Miller, Gavin Rupp and Declan Carmical, as well as the presence of Mathias Giordano, Kyle Hahne, and Catherine Johnson and all six families.
T-shirts will be sold for profit and all proceeds will be donated to Kyle’s Kamp (an organization that donates 20% of money to children with cancer and 80% of money to childhood cancer research). This is a great event followed by great volleyball and an excellent way to support our community.
Please be sure to attend this event and get a t-shirt.
