(July 18, 2013) – Talk about your need for speed, a 17-year-old driver was stopped by Loudoun County Sheriff’s just after midnight doing 107 miles per hour on Route 7 near Loudoun County Parkway. The juvenile, who did not stop upon initiation of emergency lights, was issued a summons for reckless driving and turned over to the custody of their parents.
The rest of the daily crime report includes a public intoxication/assault and battery in Sterling; a domestic assault/DUI in Ashburn; embezzlement in Dulles; and a construction worker in Ashburn hit in the shoulder by ball weight on a crane among other items.

Eastern Loudoun Station
Public Intoxication/Assault & Battery: Intoxicated adult male, under the influence of narcotics walked into a citizen’s home and advised resident that someone was after him. When LCSO arrived he advised that his family was murdered and began to walk towards deputy. Deputy placed hand up to stop his advance and he slapped deputy’s hand out of his way while he advanced. Male admitted to smoking something but would not say what.
Domestic Assault/DUI: Initial call came in as carjacking- which turned out to be a domestic assault. Driver was intoxicated, stopped by deputies and complainant (victim) stated two males took her vehicle.
Dulles South Station
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Reported via complaint of parking violation. Deputy ran tag on vehicle reported stolen from Fairfax County. Vehicle processed at Fairfax’s request. Deputy made contact with owner and it’s a possible misunderstanding between owner and mechanic.
Peacock Market Plaza
Larceny:Victim paid bill at South Riding Inn and left without the wallet. Victim reported that suspect took wallet and that there may be surveillance video.

Rock Haven Way
Embezzlement: Victim reported that former employee/bookkeeper issued a company check in the amount of $4,495.45 to an individual. Complainant didn’t recognize the name as someone he knew or as a vendor. The check has been cashed
Gentle Falls Drive
Injury: Male at construction site was struck in left shoulder by ball weight on crane. Victim transported by ground to E.R. with non-life threatening injury.
Suspicious Event: Victim reported that she observed an unknown male look in back window of her residence and take a picture using his cell phone, then moved to another window and took an additional photo. She described him as a white male, 25-30-years old 5’10 – 6’, medium build, no facial hair, short brown hair wearing a light blue polo shirt. Suspect not located.
Larceny/Vehicle Tampering: Deputies responded to call for auto tampering but were unable to locate suspect. Victim witnessed suspect in his vehicle and when he approached the suspect, the suspect fled. Five dollars was removed from one vehicle and three additional vehicles in the neighborhood were discovered to have been entered.
