Ashburn, Va (November 9, 2014) – Friday the 2014 High School regular football season came to an end. The VSHL power ratings come out this week and they will determine who makes the playoffs and who plays who in the first round. We can review the season and make some predictions on what the playoff picture looks like.
5A North – Tuscarora finishes the season with the best record ever in school history, a perfect 10-0. Massaponax is the only other undefeated team but the huskies have a higher VSHL rating and if they keep it, they will be the top seed in the tournament. Tuscarora had the second most potent offense in the region and the stingiest defense they look to go deep in the playoffs. Stone Bridge, Broad Run, Briar Woods, Potomac Falls should all proceed to post season play,
4A North – Salem, George Washington and Jefferson Forest all ended the season undefeated in 4A North. Woodgrove (7-3) finished highest of Loudoun County teams and will be in post season play, as well as Loudoun County (4-6).
3A East – Lafayette (10-0) completed the only perfect season in 3A East. Loudoun Valley (7-3) was second in the region and John Champe (7-3) seventh and will both proceed in post season play.
