In taking this position, Beth (wife), Landon (son) and I are very thankful for the opportunity to lead these young men and to become a part of the Patriot Nation.”
Soon after graduating from Skaneateles High School in central New York, Wild headed off to Slippery Rock University, PA with aspirations of continuing his playing career, although his path immersed him in coaching, and helping young men prepare for life beyond high school. Following the completion of his associates degree he enrolled at the State University of New York at Brockport where he majored in physical education and minored in coaching.
Upon graduation Coach Wild accepted a teaching position in the Stafford County Public School System. While there, he accepted the position of head junior varsity football coach under the tutelage of current Edison High School Head Coach, Chad Lewis. He held that position for 4 years. That first year he also spent time with the varsity offensive line and learning from current Falls Church HS head coach, Said Aziz. In year two, he moved from co-offensive line coach to co-wide receivers coach. In year three he became the varsity’s primary wide receiver coach. His final two years with the program he was promoted to co-offensive coordinator and worked primarily with the running backs. During this time, Coach Wild also enrolled and completed his master’s degree through West Virginia University in Athletic Coaching Education.
In the summer of 2013 Coach Wild joined current Harmony HS (FL) Don Simon’s staff at Southern Lee High School in Sanford, North Carolina as the Offensive Coordinator. During his time there they were able to take a struggling program and re-energize it. They made great strides over the 3 years and made the state playoffs in his second and third year.
This past season, coach Wild took over at Washington and Lee High School where he guided his team to a playoff berth.
Coach Wild is an energetic and passionate person who promotes character, discipline and team unity. He is looking forward to helping the young men at Park View High School become successful in life beyond high school as well as winning on the gridiron.
“Park View is excited about the hiring of Coach Wild, said athletic director, Jason Testerman. “His track record at all of his coaching spots has been outstanding. His work ethic, football knowledge, discipline, and ability to connect with players will help our football program excite Patriot Nation.”
