The Football Club of Virginia (FC Virginia) is an elite soccer player development and travel team program founded in 2006 by nationally renowned youth Coach,Terry Foley. Over the past five years the club has grown from it’s two founding teams to one of the strongest programs in the region competing in the ECNL.
Beginning at the youngest age groups, FC Virginia develops players based on the Coerver Coaching pyramid of player development, which focuses on individual and small group skills development. The Coerver method is the largest and most respected soccer education program in the world with an unmatched list of endorsements from national federations, professional clubs, star players and leading coaches. Each of FC Virginia teams is professionally coached by one or more of the FC Virginia staff coaches, who together have won over 30 State Cup Championships and coached many players who have gone on to successful college, professional, and national team careers.
FC Virginia gained entry into the prestigious Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and and won division titles with the U14 and U18 age groups in the 2011-2012 seasonal year.
FC Virginia is one of two clubs in Northern Virginia that holds a membership in the ECNL.
