Leesburg, Va. (July 15, 2014) – Tuscarora High School graduate, Alex Lang, has organized a candlelight vigil to remember Coach Adam Fortune. The vigil will be held tonight, July 15, 2014, at the Tuscarora High School football field (801 N King St, Leesburg, Va.) and begin at 8:30 p.m.
On July 7, 2014, the Loudoun County community lost Coach Fortune, an influential member of its family. Fortune served 14 years as a football coach in Loudoun County and was a mentor and friend to everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Tuscarora High School, where Fortune was a physical education teacher and football coach, was hit hard with the news of his passing, along with the rest of Loudoun County.
As students and colleagues of Fortune remember and celebrate his life, many have shared their favorite stories of Fortune that illustrate the impact he had on the community. Tonight, friends, students and colleagues of Fortune will have yet another opportunity to honor and celebrate his life.
“The vigil means a lot to me. I want to bring the Husky family together to celebrate the life of a man that impacted us all in such a strong way,” said Alex Lang.
According to Lang, tonight’s vigil will provide a few of Fortune’s friends the opportunity to share a few words with everyone that attends the memorial.
