Ashburn, VA (Feb. 19, 2016) – With the conclusion of the National Letter of Intent signings last week, it is time to review the status of the Class of 2016. To date, 172 students from Loudoun County have committed to play at the collegiate level. The top schools are in line with historic trends. Christopher Newport leads 2016 with 11 athletes, bringing the all-time total for CNU to 84 athletes dating back to 2010.

Seniors have committed to playing a total of 13 different sports, with football, soccer, and lacrosse leading the field. The breakdown of athlete per sport is in the chart below.
Stone Bridge, which has had the most athletic college commits amongst Loudoun County schools since 2010, leads all schools thus far for Class of 2016 commits with 28 athletes.
