Ashburn, VA (November 4, 2014) – Coastal Carolina senior forward Kacey Kelley has been voted the 2014 Big South Women’s Soccer Attacking Player of the Year as voted by the league’s head coaches.
Kelley ranked second in the Big South in points (26) and shots (89) and tied for second in goals (11). In conference games, she was second in points (16) and shots (49) and third in goals (6). The senior recorded a seven-game point streak in 2014, including at least one point in each of her first six conference games. Along with two game-winning goals in league games, she assisted on two other game-winners. Kelley’s 11 goals this season are tied for the fourth-most in school history. She garnered four first-place votes and finished with 11 points in becoming Coastal Carolina’s first Player of the Year honoree since 2008.
