South Riding (July 18, 2013) – Brent Miller has been named the new assistant athletic director at Freedom High School. Miller, a cross country, swimming and boys lacrosse coach for the Eagles the past five years, takes over for Pat McNanley who accepted the position as Rock Ridge High School’s first athletic director.
Miller’s cross country and swimming teams have won district championships during his tenure. He also has prior experience as the swimming and boys lacrosse coach at Stone Bridge High School. He also held the position of Aquatics Director at the McDonogh School in Maryland where he served as head coach of the water polo and swim teams.
Miller received his Masters in sport administration from Florida State University while interning with Seminole Athletic Marketing. He will officially begins his assistant athletic director duties on August 1.
