Purcellville, Va. (February 19, 2015) – The magic of Disney is coming to Blue Ridge Middle School.“Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” will be performed on stage beginning February 27.
Director Dolly Stevens, has put together another show that will delight audiences of all ages. From the romance of Belle and her Beast to the antics of the Silly Girls swooning over Gaston, there is something for everyone. Audience members will be invited to “Be Our Guest” in the elaborate, multi-level castle as they are serenaded by a collection of sparkling, animated, enchanted objects including utensils, plates and salt and pepper shakers. You will watch as Gaston tries to win over Belle’s affections, while continually wrangling with his trusty sidekick, Lefou.
Stevens brings a Broadway level of attention to every detail, from dancing wolves and napkins to the magical transformation of Beast to Prince. She is supported by an army of parents who have lent their professional talents to create magnificent sets and costumes.
Stevens has been directing theatrical productions at Blue Ridge Middle School for seven years. She works as a professional actor, director and is the co-founding artistic director of the Growing Stage.
