(March 24, 2014) – A 16-year-old Ashburn youth was seriously injured in a fall from a mountain board that was being pulled by a vehicle Sunday evening in the parking lot at Broad Run High School.
The youth, who was not wearing a helmet, was initially taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital but later was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver, also as 16-year-old from Ashburn, was charged with reckless driving.

Suspicious Event: The Loudoun County Sheriffâs Office received a report of a possible shooting at the Dulles Town Center. The Loudoun County Sheriffâs Office is advising there was no shooting or gunman seen at the mall. Upon arrival deputies learned the caller overheard two females talking about a possible shooting and that they had to leave. The two females could not be located and have not contacted law enforcement. Out of an abundance of caution the mall complex was searched and nothing suspicious was located. The mall was re-opened.
Shooting/Death Investigation: The Loudoun County Sheriffâs Office is investigating the death of a Sterling, Virginia man. The Loudoun County Sheriffâs Office responded to a residence for a report of a shooting that occurred after two roommates, both adult males, were involved in an altercation. One of the males was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. There was no threat to the community as the incident was contained to inside the home and all subjects involved in the incident have been identified. No names will be released at this time pending notification of next of kin and the continuing investigation.

Suspicious Event: Deputies responded to the area for a report from a female who stated she was being followed by a vehicle. The complainant was not on scene. Deputies were able to find a witness who had a woman ask to borrow her phone so she could call law enforcement. The area was searched, nothing further was located.

Ashburn Suspicious Event: An 11-year-old was walking in the area and reported seeing a white van parked on the side of the road. A male subject approached her and asked if he needed a ride. The child left area. The van is described as a panel van with windows. The driver was said to be a White male and was wearing a Nike sweatshirt.
Suspicious Event: A resident reported seeing a subject walking in the area with what appeared to be a firearm. They located an additional witness in the area who reported seeing a young man playing paintball in the area.
Injury: A 16-year-old from Ashburn was seriously injured after he fell from a mountain board that was being pulled by a vehicle being driven by a second 16-year-old from Ashburn. A rope had been tied to the back of a vehicle and the victim was being pulled in the parking lot of Broad Run High School when he fell off the board. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was initially taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital but was later to flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The driver was charged with reckless driving.

Suspicious Person: An unknown male was observed taking pictures outside of a residence. The male walked away after he was seen. He was described as a male of Middle Eastern descent, 6â2â tall, thin, and was wearing all black clothing.

Suspicious Event: A resident heard their garage door open. They went downstairs and discovered their garage door open. They resident saw a vehicle driving down the street.
