Leesburg, Va. (August 22, 2014) – The Friends of Leesburg Public Arts are sponsoring the 3rd annual Leesburg Fine Arts Festival in downtown Leesburg, on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, 2014. Admission to the Leesburg Fine Art Festival is free. Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.
The Leesburg Fine Arts Festival will showcase over 100 nationally and internationally acclaimed artists from more than 20 states and overseas. Coordinated by Paragon Art Events, the festival will feature painting, jewelry, sculpture, photography, woodworking, ceramics, glass, fiber art, mixed media, metalwork and more. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will support the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts. The Friend of Leesburg Public Arts’ mission is to provide funding and support for public art and arts-related programs within the Town of Leesburg. In addition to hosting the annual Fine Arts Festival, they are currently raising funds for a mural on the Loudoun Street side of the Town Hall Parking Garage. There will be street closures in downtown Leesburg for the Fine Arts Festival. King Street from Cornwall Street to Loudoun Street and Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street will be closed, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19. Streets should reopen at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.
