(Nov. 8, 2013) – The Stone Bridge High School boys and Tuscarora High School girls cross country teams qualified for the 5A state meet in style Wednesday by winning their respective 5A North Region meet on the Oatlands course in Leesburg. There were more championship celebrations for Loudoun as the Loudoun Valley High School girls won the 3A East Region meet at Culpeper High School, Dominion High School senior Trent Lancaster captured the 4A North Region meet with a 16:40 run in Fredericksburg at Loriella Park, and Loudoun Valley sophomore Andrew Hunter won the boys 3A East meet with a 16:17.
Also advancing to 5A States as a team are the Broad Run boys (third) and Potomac Falls girls (fourth).
At the 4A North Region, the Dominion boys (second), Woodgrove boys (fifth), Loudoun County girls (third) and Woodgrove girls (fourth) all qualified for the 4A state meet.
The Loudoun Valley boys (fourth) advance to the 3A State met.
In addition to the teams moving on, six boys and nine girls qualified as individuals from area schools to either the 3A, 4A or 5A state cross country meet.
